Q. What is a logo?
A. A logo is a visual representation of the company and is often used to communicate the company's key message, value and position in the market.
Q. Do I need to have a logo?
A. Not every small business owner will choose to have a logo. Those that do choose to have one to communicate a consistent message to their customers. The main objective of the logo is to give a company visual identity, be recognisable and memorable – and importantly set the right impression.
Q. How can I be sure that I'll get a quality logo?
A. Our designers are professionally trained and have many years’ experience, you can read about our team here. You’ll have a dedicated professional designer working on your logo creation and you will have direct contact with them. All of our logos and any illustrations within them are handcrafted, our team do not use clip art or logo generators. Q. How does the logo design process work?

Q. How long does it take before I can see the first draft logo concepts?
A. Depending upon your package, your first draft logos will be delivered within 2 to 3 working days.
Q. What if I don't like any of the initial logo concepts?
A. In a very rare occassion that someone isn't happy we'll refund the full amount, no quuestions asked, at any stage in the design process. Please read our no quibble money back guarantee policy for details.
Q. How does payment work?
A. Small Business Logos accepts all major credit and debit cards. Payment is taken via our secure online payment facility provided by Secure Trading, or you can pay using PayPal. Payment is taken in full before the design process starts.
Q. How can I be sure payment is secure?
Small Business Logos is a service of Crimson Publishing Limited who use the online payment services Secure Trading. Secure Trading is internationally recognised. The information you give will not be seen by Small Business Logos, but will be encrypted and sent through secure servers. Q. What willl show on my bank statement?
A. Small Business Logos is a division of Crimson Publishing Ltd, so your payment will be listed as Crimson Publishing Ltd
Q. How many changes to the logo can I make?
A. Our starter package comes with 3 rounds of revisions. Our starter plus package comes with 4 rounds of revisions and our elite package comes with unlimited rounds of revisions.
Q. How can I claim a refund on my logo design?
A. If in the unlikely event you are not satisfied with your designs, you can claim a refund. Simply talk to your designer and they will arrange that for you.
Q. Can I submit my own ideas for my logo?
A. Yes, of course! There is a section on our logo ideas form especially for you to contribute your ideas, examples of the logos you like and anything else you want our designer to know
Q. Do I own the copyrights of the design of my logo?
A. Yes. Small Business Logos transfer all the ownership rights of your logo to you once you have confirmed in writing that you are happy with the final design and you have taken delivery of the final files.
Q. What if I want to buy another of the design concepts?
A. You can purchase any of the other design concepts your designer has created for you, with full copyright and ownership rights for £49.99.
Q. Can you redo / improve my existing company logo?
A. Yes. You can send in your existing logo and we will redraw it according to your instructions and will submit you new file formats for printing and publishing.
Q. What file formats will I get with my packages
A. You will get 7 print and web file formats: .EPS (Adobe Illustrator Vector File), .JPEG, .GIF, .PNG, .TIFF, .BMP, .PSD. See our helpful File Types article to understand what each of these file types is best used for
Q. What if I want more/different file formats?
A. That’s absolutely fine. We can provide different file formats on request. Please just ask your designer
Q. How will the final files of my logo design be delivered?
A. Your final file formats will be delivered to you via email in a zip file
Q. What are CMYK colours?
A. CMYK colours are used for off-set printing purposes. Prints include standard coloured stationary etc.
Q. What are RGB colours?
A. RGB colours (also known as screen colours) are used for the display of images in electronic systems such as televisions and computers. The RGB initials stand for Red, Green and Blue. The RGB colour model adds the 3 colours together to produce an array of different colours.
Q. What if I want my logo in RGB colours?
A. CMYK colours are convertible to RGB colours. However, when printing with RGB colours, the colours will not be accurate. Thus, they are best used for websites only.
Q. What colour model will my logos be supplied in?
A. The files best used for printing (.tiff, .eps) will be supplied in CMYK and the files used for web (.jpeg, .gif) will be supplied in RGB.
Q. Can you please look at our website and see if you can help us design a better logo?
A. Yes, include your company’s URL on the logo briefing form and we will examine your website and create a new logo for your company based on the business concept.
Q. What software do you use to create the logo design?
A. All our designers work with Adobe Illustrator for the logo design work.
Q. How can I use my logo?
There’s really no limit as to how you use your logo! You can use your logo on almost everything. The formats we supply your final logo in are in a design industry universal standard and are therefore, accepted all over the world. You can use you logo on signage, websites, email templates, letterheads, financial reports, proposals, envelopes, compliment slips, presentation materials, corporate brochures, flyers and all matter of promotional material.
Q. Now that I have my logo, can you design other materials for me?
A. Of course! We are a fully functioning design studio. To keep things simple we have some standard stationary, postcard and flyer packages. If there's something you want us to design that's more bespoke just give us a call free on 0800 840 5485
Q. Can you design me a website?
A. Web design is a natural extension of what we do so we're looking to launch that in early 2012
