Some printing FAQs
Why should I laminate my business cards?
Lamination adds a thin film to your business cards. This film protects the business card and stops the edges splitting and also stops colour fading. Lamination makes business cards look more professional and smart. If you have a solid colour background on either side of your business card, we strongly recommend that you choose lamination to enhance the colour and prevent it from running or fading.
Should I choose matt or gloss lamination?
This really depends on what you are trying to achieve with your cards.
Use gloss if you are using your card to 'advertise' your service and it is important that the card stands out from the crowd. For example, service businesses such as taxi operators, mobile hairdressers, and tradesmen often have gloss laminated business cards and benefit from a card that is colourful and eye-catching.
Use matt lamination if a more subtle, smart effect is required. For example corporate business cards and personal business cards typically use matt lamination.
